Hey all my Judah 4 friends!

The year has gone by so quickly and I can still remember the 1st time I walked in to Judah 4 care group. By the way, yesterday was our last CG as Judah 4 for this year and we shared about each other and the group as a whole. To those who are away.....actually almost half of u are away....here's a little thought on my part as we come to an end of another season.

When I 1st came to this CG, I remembered so clearly that everyone was so quiet and tame.... and I was thinking to myself wow....maybe its the Australian culture ....since the environment is so quiet...unlike back home haha! But then, as time passed by there were more and more people that came into our group and we began to know each other better. That's when slowly, little by little the group got a bit more lively, noisy and crazy! Haha!

I think eversince the Bribie Island retreat that we had, we got to know each other so much better ;) The hidden side of each of us were revealed and slowly we began to be more open and got more comfortable with the group.

I particularly liked the way the group functioned in caring for one another....like for me when I 1st came , have no friends and then suddenly I found you all! haha! Thanks to all those who cooked, faithfully transported people and doing little things to make Judah 4 a bright and cheery group.

To all those who are on a holiday, HAPPY HOLIDAYS and will see all of you again next year! To those who are studying, working, in army....(Hee!)....do your best and glorify Him in all that you do. To those who are not coming back......er.....sob! sob! will miss you!

Kelvin's thoughts

I like your entry JASON!

Faith is a very important ingredient in every team. If there is no faith in a team; faith in God or faith in team mates, the team will not survive.
Even more so for me as the leader, and i do have to admit that times are becoming discouraging and even draggy.

Assignments seem like they are never ending, and worst still, there is some many things to plan for and to prepare before i go back to Singapore for awhile. But after reading that entry of yours, I am really encouraged to see that everything is possible with God, even though it doesn't seem possible in my own eyes. Don't doubt, just believe!

I am excited to see what God is going to bring forth to this unit in the coming year, He has already brought in a harvest that the leadership team of Judah 4 is finding hard to contain. But we just keep asking for more members and even shepherds to rise up!God's blessing has indeed shown me that Faith accompanied by actions will bring a unit from 15 to 30 in one year. HAHA, all i can do is just look at the unit and say:"God YOU ARE AWESOME!"

I get really bloggish when i talk about the blessings of God, can't stop!!!! But i think, for the sake of the readers and also my assignments, i better head back to the books!

Thank YOU to ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE OF JUDAH 4!!! God Bless You all in Your exams and work too!!!!!kelvin mok

TEAM FAITH

Quote - Deuteronomy 20:8 'The officers shall speak further to the people, and say, 'What man is there who is fearful and fainthearted? Let him go and return to his house, lest the heart of his brethren faint like his heart.

Eliminate the fearful from the war because fear spreads.

Team members speak faith into each other, not fear.

In a positive atmosphere teams do the impossible.

A leader must speak faith into his people.

Leaders who communicate fear kill their organisation.

Remember ten negative spies returning from Canaan? They died.

The other two -Joshua and Caleb - they spoke faith into the people. They lived!

How Much?

There once was a man named George Thomas, pastor in a small New England town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak...

"I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me swinging this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped the lad and asked, "What you got there, son?" "Just some old birds," came the reply.

"What are you gonna do with them?" I asked.
"Take 'em home and have fun with 'em," he answered. "I'm gonna tease 'em and pull out their feathers to make 'em fight. I'm gonna have a real good time" "But you'll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do?"

"Oh, I got some cats," said the little boy. "They like birds. I'll take 'em to them."

The pastor was silent for a moment. "How much do you want for those birds, son?"
"Huh?? !!! Why, you don't want them birds, mister. They're just plain old field birds. They don't sing. They ain't even pretty!"
"How much?" the pastor asked again.

The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, "$10?"
The pastor reached in his pocket and took out a ten dollar bill. He placed it in the boy's hand. In a flash, the boy was gone.
The pastor picked up the cage and gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot Setting the cage down, he opened the door, and by softly tapping the bars persuaded the birds out, setting them free.
Well, that explained the empty bird cage on the pulpit, and then the pastor began to tell this story.
One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting. "Yes, sir, I just caught the world full of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait I knew they couldn't resist. Got 'em all!"
"What are you going to do with them?" Jesus asked.
Satan replied, "Oh, I'm gonna have fun! I'm gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other, how to hate and abuse each other, how to drink and smoke and curse. I'm gonna teach them how to invent guns and bombs and kill each other. I'm really gonna have fun!"
"And what will you do when you get done with them?" Jesus asked. "Oh, I'll kill 'em," Satan glared proudly. "How much do you want for them?" Jesus asked
"Oh, you don't want those people. They ain't no good. Why, you'll take them and they'll just hate you. They'll spit on you, curse you and kill you. You don't want those people!!"
"How much?" He asked again.
Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, "All your blood, tears and your life."
Jesus said, "DONE!"
Then He paid the price.
The pastor picked up the cage he opened the door and he walked from the pulpit.
Notes: Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
Isn't it funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also "believes" in God).
